STEM Fest Scholarship Information
Dear Scholarship Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Southwest PA Stem Fest Scholarship Program. The mission of the program is to reduce barriers to education and encourage students to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Every complete application received by the required deadline will be given a fair and careful evaluation. All information will be held in strict confidence. Good Luck!
Eligibility

Any high school junior or senior (Class of 2025 or 2026) who resides in PA, WV, or OH enrolled in a public, private, or parochial high school or home study program planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an

Accredited two- or four- year college or university or technical school.

Previous winners are not eligible.
Scholarship Award

One (1) scholarship of $500 should be used for undergraduate study only or technical school only.

Essays must be original and written by the applicant. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
Application

Students must complete the application form and the essay of no more than 500 words.

All completed applications and essays must be finished no later than Thursday, October 31, 2024, or for electronic submissions by midnight (EST) Wed, October 30, 2024.

Applicants are solely responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information.

All information submitted is confidential and will be reviewed only by members of the Scholarship Program Selection Committee.
Recipient Selection
-
The scholarship recipient is selected on the basis of the application and essay content.

Winners grant Washington STEAMworks Inc. the right to edit and use the essay and project submission for nonprofit purposes, including use in print, on the internet and all other forms of social media.

Winners will be solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes.
Payment of Awards

Awards will be disbursed upon receipt of post-secondary school information.
